If you’ve ever tried to source some up-to-date UK government data to back up a business case, or maybe some nice robust context data for a strategic decision, you’ll know that actually there’s no shortage.
Look online for datasets and there seems to be a world of choice. If you want to make use of some of this information in a graphic or map, however, things get a little more tricky.
Download your chosen dataset and you discover the data structure is complex, the meta data is unclear, and you can’t see which columns add up to which. Preparing the data you need for a chart is challenging and time-consuming. Preparing it for mapping is even more so.
We know all this because we’ve done it. Geofutures holds a comprehensive warehouse of about 500 pre-processed economic, social, geographic and environmental datasets, all regularly updated and held in readily accessible and compatible formats. There’s also a range of exclusive added-value indicators, indices and spatial statistics created especially by us.
And now you can access these datasets too.
SABRE is our online application designed to allow users to search, view, query, and upload chosen sets. Other components in our product suite allow you to combine these with in-house data, survey responses or the results of bespoke research studies.
