Research
We feel incredibly fortunate to work in a leading-edge IT field which is rapidly developing. It means that there are always new avenues to explore as GIS technology and methods improve.
We also have a strong academic background, being a UCL spin-out with lasting relationships with some of the best educators in the field, and our Expert Panel is there to offer ideas and perspectives too.
So we really enjoyed undertaking a methodological think-piece for The Environment Agency, based on our earlier work modelling the worst places to live in England and Wales.
Geofutures is also working with The Transition Network, putting GIS to work in planning for our future food security.
Studies of this kind help to shape practical GIS outcomes in future, and we’re always happy to discuss academic and commercial collaboration.
